02 — REFRIGERANTS

Choose the medium, get the right tool for the job.

The refrigerants used by Green Circle belong to the group of natural refrigerants and do not contain fluorinated compounds like HFC, HFO or synthetic blended media. They are therefore not part of the PFAS issue that is now receiving increased attention in the EU and internationally.

Chilled water and heat pump systems
The most widely used solution in the Green Circle range. Propane is highly suitable for chilled water and heat pump systems, with a strong balance between capacity, efficiency and footprint.

High-temperature heat pumps
When the process requires higher temperatures than propane can provide, isobutane takes over. Ideal for district heating, drying processes and industrial heat recovery where 85 °C is required.

Buildings and processes with both heating and cooling demand
CO₂ is ideal for buildings and processes that have both low-temperature cooling demand and high-temperature heat demand. The energy is used twice — from cooling to hot water.

to commissioned plant.

STEP 01

Needs analysis

We review energy sources, temperature requirements and existing systems — and understand your process before drawing anything.

STEP 02

System diagram

With delivery description and diagram in place, the right refrigerant and dimensioning are selected.

STEP 03

Hand-built production

The units are built and fully completed at our facilities — usually as part of a larger energy system with pumps, shunts, tanks and automation.

STEP 04

FAT testing

In our modern FAT station, the units are thoroughly tested, adjusted and optimized before delivery. The machines are run under real operating conditions — with the temperatures and loads they will work with at the end customer. This allows us to verify function, capacity and energy efficiency, and document performance before the plant leaves the factory.

STEP 05

Installation & operation

For many projects, we also handle installation and commissioning, giving the customer a secure transition from production to stable operation. With careful planning, tidy execution and thorough testing, we ensure an efficient start-up and a reliable plant from day one.
